Olympia Youth Orchestra May 23, 2010 FREE Concert

How time flies and the Spring concert of the Olympia Youth Orchestra is coming up again on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 3PM. This FREE concert, OPEN TO THE PUBLIC, will be held at the historic San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, 320 S Mission Drive, San Gabriel, CA 91776.

This time, the orchestra will be joining forces with Ruslan Biryukov, a fantastic cellist, to perform the very exciting Sinfonia Concertante for Cello & Orchestra by Prokofiev. In this concert, we intend to present to the audience a musical taste of Europe. Other works on the program will include Rossini’s La Scala di Seta Overture, Verdi’s Prelude to Act III of “La Traviata”, Grieg’s Peer Gynt Suite No.1 and the 3 Dances by Smetana from his opera “The Bartered Bride”.

Attached please find a flyer of the concert and do feel free to contact me for reservation of the number of tickets you would desire. I am also attaching several links for more information on this concert:
